Christmas is in the air! I can't believe its the 19th of December already! Where do the days go? Cameron and I had our annual Christmas party Friday night, we had 22 guests for dinner and most of those people stayed and played games. What a hoot! We all had such a smashing great time. The food was great, and the best hit of the night was the chocolate fondue fountain! I borrowed this from a friend and wow was it a blast! I'm sure every person here last night gained at least 5 pounds!
So here is a funny on me... One night last week we all went to Sams club, no need to dress nicely, or do my hair or makeup right? Well I'll think again before I say or do that. Cameron was in charge of locking up the church last week, so after we did our monthly shop at Sams we went to lock up the church. Cameron went into the church and was taking forever! The kids were both crying in the car, and the minutes kept ticking. He comes out and I'm about insane from the crying, and he tells me "the bishop wants to speak to you" so of course I ask why, what does he want? I tell Cameron "tell me or I won't go in" So in Camerons words he tells me that the bishop asked him if he would support me in the "Enrichment girl. " The Enrichment Leader in our ward was just released last week, so I thought that he might put me in as the Enrichment Leader. So I go into the church leaving the screaming kids in the car with Cameron, with my hair in pigtails, (my hair is short now, so it was sticking out) no make up and in sweats! I go into the bishops office and he asks me to be the "Enrichment Leader" (so I thought) I told him I'd love to that it would be a fun calling for me. I told him I kind of thought he was going to put me into this calling... He just looked at me really weird and asked how I knew that. I said "I just had a feeling." He said ok, and then asked me if I had any concerns, I said, well seeing what some of my family has gone through in callings, I'm concerned that the Presidency won't allow me to do my calling. This really made him stare at me. His reply was, "well as a presidency you will be making the decisions..." My jaw dropped and I put my finger up, and said.."umm.. What did you just call me as?" The Lord has a way of humbling us all, as the bishop said, "I'm asking you to be the Enrichment Counselor in Relief Society, I thought you were taking this very well..." I wanted to crawl under the desk and hide! Throughout the entire meeting with him I thought he had asked me to be the Enrichment Leader, but he had asked me to be the Counselor in the Relief Society. I told him I got a bit mixed up and that I thought he was asking me to do the other job, he laughed and said "no problem now do you have any concerns?" I told him I felt a bit young to be called to this position, but that didn't phase him. So yesterday I was put in as the Enrichment Counselor! YIKES! What a change from Scouts. So a word to the wise, LISTEN CAREFULLY when talking to the bishop!
Natalie has started going to Sunbeams in primary instead of the Nursery. Its way harder on me I can't believe my little girl is growing up so fast. We are also making lots of new friends in our ward and having play dates once a week!
Christmas is fast approaching and Natalie keeps asking when we are going to bake cookies for Santa, and when Baby Jesus is coming. Ha ha! At least I can tell she's listening to us!
William too is growin gup so quickly! He has started laughing and being so very happy! I'm loving this stage of life!

William! At 4 months old. Its time to post some pictures of our little prince charming! Ok so he is not so little. He lights up our world! I used to wonder how we would be able to love another baby as much as we love our Natty, but its so easy!

William is now "scooting" backwards in his walker, drinking water out of a sippy cup, eating baby cereal, (yes Tyson I do feed my baby that crap, and you will feed your kids that too) he laughs and smiles at everything funny or not, and loves to cuddle!

Check out these rolls!

William slept the entire time we were decorating our house for Christmas so we had a little fun with him, by putting on the Santa hat! What a cutie!
Wow! What a mad face! Christmas means so much more to me now that I have children of my own. To watch the joy on their faces is just priceless!

Natalie and Cameron have the tradition of putting the Star on top of the tree! This year however she wanted to do it all by herself! Gotta love Miss Independence herself!

Tis the season of Santa stories! After I got home from shopping a couple days ago, I told Natalie I saw someone who was dressed in red and goes "ho ho ho" she looked at me and said "mommy you saw santa clause?" I told her I did and that she needed to be a good girl. Then she looked at me again and said "mommy was he a real one?" ha ha! How sweet and innocent! How do you answer that? of course I told her Santa is real!
For months now Natalie has been eyeballing this cup at a gift store in the mall that has her name on it. I told her awhile ago that maybe santa would bring it for her. Well my mom was at the store the other day and they only had one Natalie cup left, so she picked it up for us. Last night I was telling Cameron what my mom had gotten, and said... "my mom picked up the C U P (I spelled it out) with Nattys name on it" and Natty turned and looked at me and said "what? Nanny got my cup with Natty on it?" Should I chalk it up to watching to much Sesame Street? dont know how she knew how to spell cup. pretty funny! Just hope we didnt spoil it for her. I think shes forgotten already but who knows.

OK so whos idea was it to journal all the way back from when we moved in? YIKES!! We just have some funnies to share with everyone and there is no time to backtrack.
A new funny that has happened this last week is when we were having our family scripture reading in the morning, and Cameron and I were explaining who the Laminites were in the Book of Mormon. Well Natty got this strange look on her face and said... "the laminites were naughty they need to sit on the naughty step" Thanks Super Nanny. Oh it was so innocent, sweet and funny! Needless to say our scripture study was over.
Another funny is that we were at a Joseph Smith fireside at church on Sunday and two men got up to sing (Thad and Chris Brown) and we had just watched a slide show of Josephs' life, and I had been telling Natty that the pictures were Joseph Smith and so on.. well when these men got up to sing right after that, Natalie speaks loudly and says "look mommy its Joseph Smith" Was so excited that Joseph Smith showed up to his birthday party. ha ha!!
William is growing up so fast! He is already scooting backwards in his walker! ahh!! He is only 4 months old. Just started eating cereal, and has so many roles on his body! Way too cute! Will post some pictures later!
Cameron has been busy at work, and taking care of our new family member... nope not William, our new puppy Thor!! Can you believe it? We have a puppy! He is very adorable, but I sure dont like him licking my feet or the little accidents! He is fun to have around, and he has taken a liking to Natalie as I pointed my finger at her to tell her NO the other day and the dog growled at me... needless to say I put my finger down and put the dog in his kennel.
I've been busy getting my all my projects done. Christmas cards, ornaments, plaques, and hosting craft day every Thursday. What can I say it keeps me sane. The kiddos sure keep me on my toes and running! We have a little playgroup once a week, with a couple of friends.. I wish sharing was easier at my house but its not. If anyone has any tips I'm open for them. We try and do Story time once a week so that is another day out!
We had a great Thanksgiving! My family as well as Camerons family all got together and ate.. ate.. and ate some more.. or was there more laughing, not sure. It can't be a propper dinner at this house "The Moore house" without someone making someone else laugh, and choke on the food! It was a real "Moore" dinner!
Ha! And now its Christmas! This last weekend Cameron climbed up on the roof and decorated our house with lights! He did a great job! Our house looks fantastic! Though we have not been able to finish everything as we've had quite the wind storm the last few days. So as soon as we are done, we'll post some pictures!

Fathers Day 2005
Our last spontaneous trip to Denver before the baby came was Fathers Day. A trip to Tysons house. All the Fathers Day gifts were shipped to our house and Dad ended up at Tysons house that weekend.. so we ditched church and took a ride. Natalie was thrilled to be going to Uncle Tysons house where she gets lots of candy (ahhh), and to see the boats, and ducks.

Natalie grew bored easily so they got out the ottomans and built a tower! Natty was "The King of the Castle" and Grandpa was quick to come knock it down. Oh the joy!

What could be better then going for a walk around the lake with Grandpa, and Uncles Tyson and Soctty?
A bunch of geese nibbling at your bottom? As picture happy Daddy was snapping a few shots of Natty and the geese, they came after her and Daddy and Natty RAN!!

Grandpa got a remote control Hummer for Fathers Day. We think Natty had more fun playing then anyone else!

It was rather late on our way home, as we passed Wellington Natalie got a big whiff of the cows. Natalie asked what the stink was and we told her it was "stinky cows". When we got back to Cheyenne Natalie was fast asleep, and we had to stop at work to grab some strawberries that had come back from Grandpa's garden. So I stayed in the car with Natty while Cameron ran inside to get the buckets of strawberries. When he came back to the car he put the strawberries in the trunk and proceeded to get in the car while quietly saying "excuse me". We hadn't turned the corner when the sleeping Natalie sits straight up and yells "HUGH WEE! STINKY COWS!" and then goes back to sleep. (Cameron wasn't expecting his toot to drift to the back seat). Natalie now calls any raunchy smells (the refinery, car exhaust, Cameron's exhaust, etc...) "STINKY COWS."

Memorial Day 2005
Memorial Day in the Moore family is synonomous with MEMORIES!! We tried to make this one especially memorable as Dad and Tyson wanted this to be their last working Memorial Day! A wonderful addition to this Memorial Day was Natalie and Kerry tagging along. We got to a stone that was to be set above cremations, and digging down only about 4 inches we heard the CLUNK! The one thing you don't want to see, the white box. Apparently the cemetery is getting lazy, as they didn't bury the cremains as deep as they should have. My stone was six inches thick and needed to be flush with the ground. Which only meant one thing. We had to dig up "grandma" . Boy was she a booger to get out! Dad came over to the rescue with a few extra shovels and bars. Finally we got her out. Only to have to dig deeper to put her back in. Funniest part was, when Natty saw us digging up the box, she got a huge grin on her face and yelled "daddy open it up" we told her we couldn't open it up but she insisted that it was "buried treasure." She had been watching Dora the Explorer about "Buried Treasure"!! It took quite alot of convincing that we had to bury the "treasure" again without opening it up.

Natalie, seeing how difficult it had been for us to dig decided to be our personal cheerleader waving an American flag she yelled "Go Team Go!" (Where did she get that flag from was our first question) We had to explain to her that although it was fun to wave a flag, she shouldn't steal the Veterans flag from his grave. (how do you explain that to a 3 year old?) Anyway we found the nearest Veterans stone without a flag and put it there in hopes it was the one Natty had taken. We continued putting flags back all day as we moved about the cemetery.

Natalie had to help Daddy "clean the rocks" as she polished up the Angel wall. She was very proud of how clean it didn't get. (10-9-05: 9:16 PM.... just a hint for all your bloggers out there trying to "multi-task" as Oprah calls it, holding your newborn baby on your legs, after feeding him 6 ounces, and trying to blog isn't a good idea as William just peed through his diaper all down my legs. And it doesn't help that Kerry can do nothing but laugh. I'll be back shortly!)

Okay, so where were we? Oh yes! Memorial Day! Apparently Tyson has taken a disliking to DIGGING as he opted to let Dad and I take the truck to go dig and set foundations while he carted stones from the shop, throughout the cemetery. Yes, CARTED. As in, lugged them around on a 2 wheeled dolly down bumpy rocky roads. Unfortunately we didn't have pictures of that, but it sure was funny.

Natalie loved to watch me and Grandpa as we dug. She thought it very convenient that this "park" was full of "horsies" that she was free to ride whenever she wanted! They didn't even take 3 quarters like the ones at the mall. All the while, cheering, "Go, Team, Go" or "yee-haw."

This was our first Memorial Day working for ourselves, and seeing how we haven't brought home the big bucks yet, we only had one truck to work with. Which only meant one thing. As Tyson used the truck do get everything accomplished out of town (which I'm SURE he has plenty of stories to be told about that) Dad and I decided to be "creative" and set stone out of the Durango. Yes, Kerry is STILL shaking her head at me even as we speak. (The only way she would allow this, was if we would agree to have the Durango detailed afterward - which I agreed to - but as I said before, still haven't brought home those big bucks, so she had to settle for $3.75 at the local Qwicki Mart vacuum.)

Anyway, as with any other Mem-MOORE-ial day, you have to know that it's going to RAIN! Luckily we were on our last few stones when the rain decided to really start coming down. Dad must have been hanging out too much with TyWire over the M-Day weekend, as we were supposed to set this stone flush at the foot of the grave. Dad pushed his shovel into the ground and said, "OKAY, I'M DONE! I'm not digging this!" And so we waited in the rain for Tyson to make it home with the jackhammer. As you can see from the picture, there were ramps going into the back of the Durango. Yes, that is how we got every stone in and out of it. Carting it up the ramp, and into the back, as I held it in place while dad drove.

A tradition for the Moore brothers is to go the whole week before Memorial Day weekend without shaving to see who ends up with the biggest beard at the end of the week. Okay, so maybe you can't call it a beard, but hey, it's the ONLY week in a year that not shaving is "allowed."

I'm sure there were other stories, but these were the ones we had photos to prove. It was definitely memorable!

May 9th, 2005

Hopscotch with Nanny! Everytime Nanny comes over to play Natalie makes sure that Nanny draws out a hopscotch and they play. We were not going to show Natty that you throw a rock in the game, but she went and got a rock (a big one) and threw it down the numbers. So I asked her where she learned about hopscotch and rocks.. She told me it was from Max and Ruby. Her new found love of a TV show.

"A day in Grandma's Shoes" Playing dress up is one of Natalie's favorite things to do. Wearing other peoples shoes is definetly a favorite. This is a picture of Natty wearing Grandma's shoes, trying to tell the story of a rabbit going around the tree and through his hole...to tie the shoes.

May 4th, 2005:

Trauma in The Big Blue House
Natalie just learned how to swing on the big girl swing, no longer in the baby swing. I'll never forget the day we were having a playdate with Natty's "best friend Tyler" I was sitting on the porch swing about 50 feet away, watching the kids swing, when I saw Natty start falling backwards off of the swing. A few weeks before I had hurt my back and couldn't move very well so I screamed my friend Lynne's name but she hadn't seen Natty falling so the next thing I knew we were inside washing a bloody cut on Natty's head. Blood was everywhere! Natty was screaming at the top of her lungs, but it turned out to be a tiny cut and a frightening experience for both Natty and Me.
Needless to say we had a dump truck load of gravel delivered to our back yard the next week. The truck couldn't back up far enough to dump right under the swingset, because of powerlines, so Cameron and Jim had to shovel 11 tons of gravel into place. OH and not to mention Natalie was helping!! (by throwing the rocks they shoveled into place back onto the pile) Though she didn't like getting dirty! The girl changed her clothes 3 times in an hour! Lets just say she thought she was "queen of the mountain".

We have very much enjoyed our Monday night "Family Home Evenings" (all those hours of preparing lessons ahead of time are definitely paying off! We went for a walk down the to end of the block to fly a kite in the field, and it quickly became a family favorite. You can tell how much Natalie DIDN'T want the kite to end up coming back down to the ground. Natalie was even able to get Scotty to join in on a few FHE's including this one making Hippo Puppets to go along with the lesson of "If you can say HIPPOPOTAMUS you can say I'M SORRY" trying to teach the two kids a little repentance!

FHE of course is never complete without a treat! Natty and Scotty very much enjoy "helping" make the cookies. Lots of happy smiles (and floury floors). Somehow FHE has become a great way to get DAIRY QUEEN! Both Natalie and Scotty have taken it upon themselves to make sure this new rules gets enforced!

Saturday, March 26th, 2005:

Natalie so very much enjoyed having Scotty around to go places with her. One of their favorite "adventures" together was a trip to "Huckee Cheese" (Chuckee Cheese).

As with most adventures with Scotty there was 45 minutes of "NO CHUCKEE CHEESE, BYE CHUCKEE CHEESE, DON'T WANT IT...." but as soon as we got there the smiles began, and wouldn't stop. Both of them just had a blast! (Not to mention Cameron of course, winning all the tickets he possibly could). The night of course didn't end there, we had to hit up the stores in Fort Collins for Scotty's videos and Kerry's shopping fix! Gotta love the shopping!
February 27, 2005:
Our first big event in our new house!

Natalie's third birthday. Carebears as the theme. Her favorite present was/is the scooter she recieved from her Nanny. Natty has yet to stop riding it as she goes to "work, school, and to the shop" all day long.

Natalie was super excited this year to have the Easter Bunny come and visit our house. She was just so excited to find her Easter basket full of books, hair bows, and of course CHOCOLATE! She ran from egg to egg, finding them all day long. In fact, she couldn't even wait for Scotty to wake up (though her tromping through the house did wake him).

Grandma and Scotty were staying at our house at the time, so of course Natty LOVED having Grandma and Mommy dye Easter eggs with her. Not sure exactly who ended up with the most dye on themselves. As is Easter tradition in our home, Natalie dressed up in her new Easter Dress, and oh, how cute she was! However, she didn't want to wear her dress as it was satin, and so she ended up with a cotton undershirt to calm her down.

Welcome to the Big Blue House
Cameron and I are joining the blogging world! Mostly to keep a journal of our everyday lives. Things have been pretty crazy for quite some time now, as you will see. So now that we have a little time (he he) we would like to finally start postin'.

Well..Well..Well... Where do we start? Its only fair to start at the beginning eight months ago! For that is when we moved into our "Big Blue House" as Natalie calls it.
Most People have to fully research a house before buying. Cameron and I had been looking for a week (maybe) in fact we never set foot into another house! But we both knew this house inside and out. We recieved a phone call from Amberly jokingly saying she knew of the perfect house for us. The house they grew up in was for sale. All day while running errands I couldnt keep my mind off of the phone call or the house! Needless to say, Cameron and I took Natalie and we went to look at the house that night! She loved the blue house right away. Though she thought the two little boys and all their toys came with it.

Cameron and I had been thinking about moving for awhile, as our apartment was getting too small and we were expecting our second bundle of joy in August. We were very grateful our new house didn't need any fixing up. (as Tyson did it all for us a couple years before) Take an already great house and add a new garage, furnace, craft room, and playroom and... well, we moved in before the month was over! What a steal of a deal we got!! We love our new/old house! Oh... the memories!
